The STANSW Young Scientist Committee also organise the NSW State Paper Plane Challenge. This is an excellent STEM engagement activity that aligns learning in science with design thinking and is perfect for events such as National Science Week.
The 2019 STANSW Young Scientist Paper Plane State Championship will be held at the University of Sydney on Saturday 31st August. Schools (or parents) can register any K-12 student who have made the qualifying distance or time.
For those outside Sydney, there is a Regional High Flyers Challenge where any K-12 student for NSW, Australia or even International can send a video of their best throw by midnight Friday 30th August.
